Member Choruses
Lebanon Deutscher Harmonie Männerchor
Founded in the early 1900's, the Lebanon Deutscher Harmonie Männerchor chorus is one of the oldest continuously performing choral groups in Lebanon County. It was organized as an all-male chorus group by a group of German men, as both a social outlet, and a way to keep alive the songs of their homeland. In a progressive move, around 1925 women were admitted to membership in both the chorus and the social club that supports it. Since that time the chorus has remained a mixed chorus, in spite of its name, Männerchor, which means "men's chorus."
Reading Leiderkranz SingersThe Reading Liederkranz Singers began as a birthday gathering of eight German immigrants in 1885. After singing their traditional German folk songs, they realized that they were a very good octet! A schoolteacher and choir director, Adalbert Sell, suggested organizing a singing society. Thus was born the Reading Liederkranz, which within a year grew to a chorus of 40 singers.

Gesang Verein Harmonia
On February 10, 1982, a small group of young men of German descent held a meeting for the purpose of forming a singing & social society. Most of these men were sons or grandsons of German immigrants, but several were themselves born in Germany. The result of this first meeting was to form a society for the purpose of "awakening and promoting the sense for the beautiful and noble, through the cultivation of song and social entertainment especially among the younger generation"
